Job Overview
The Production Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
This position involves leading a team of experienced Operators in a food production environment, overseeing the delivery of production plans, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
* Responsibilities:
* Conduct daily pre-start meetings to ensure effective communication and convey shift handover details as necessary.
* Develop and implement clear direction for the daily work plan, aligning with manufacturing performance requirements.
* Monitor and improve team conformance to manufacturing performance metrics, taking corrective action when required.
* Serve as the first point of escalation for team members regarding safety, quality, sustainability, reliability, and performance issues, engaging additional resources as needed.
* Collaborate with Production Area Managers, Production Manager, and Maintenance teams to resolve breakdowns, preventative maintenance activities, and other operational challenges.
* Ensure accurate line/shift reporting and utilize Simplot Work Systems methodology for problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
