The Role
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with our team leaders to deliver both compliance and advisory engagements. You will also have the opportunity to maintain regular client contact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for all entity types including individuals, partnerships companies, trusts and estates.
* The opportunity to assist with the annual compliance for self-managed superannuation funds.
* Preparing monthly and quarterly compliance as required (e.g. BAS/IAS and related reporting).
* Preparation of quarterly management reporting, budgeting and analysis.
* Maintaining day-to-day contact with clients via phone, teams and in person.
* Assisting with tax planning and business advice, including attending quarterly management meetings.
About you:
* A relevant accounting degree
* A minimum of 3 years experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
* Must be highly skilled with Xero and related cloud-based software.
* Professionally presented, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to interact with our clients and work within our team.
* Must be based within a 30 minute drive of Mount Eliza.
* Must possess an Australian drivers licence
* Australian permanent residency is required
