You will be involved across all parts of the Southwest Region, from Bridgetown to Pemberton, Margaret River, Waroona, Collie, Augusta, and surrounding areas. Your office will be on the road!This role offers a balanced mix of office and field work across the region, involving extensive travel within the Southwest and occasional trips to Perth for forums.A valid Western Australian driver’s license is required.You will lead the local OSH team to support and coach the Southwest Region in safety and wellbeing initiatives, developing strategies, plans, and processes to improve safety culture and outcomes.The role involves both proactive and reactive tasks, including incident investigation, reporting, and implementing improvement strategies to prevent occupational incidents.You love the Southwest, you will love the team!Our team is small but dedicated, emphasizing teamwork and mutual support to achieve the common goal of ensuring our people get home safely. You will lead and motivate your team to excel and work closely with our Perth central OSH team.Your initial months will focus on understanding the business, engaging with stakeholders, and assessing high-risk tasks to ensure safe operations.The fundamentals of the role:Participate in OSH risk profiling, hazard management, and trend monitoring.Prepare reports to ensure compliance with corporate, regional, and legislative requirements.Coach managers, supervisors, and staff on OSH responsibilities.Facilitate technical training and support safe work practices.Conduct audits and develop action plans for improvements.Act as a local OSH systems expert, including Sentinel.Operate breathalyser tests as required.Ideally, you will possess:Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.A tertiary degree is advantageous.Experience with ICAM methodology.A technical background with transferable OSH experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Willingness to travel and represent our Southwest Region.Valid WA “C” Class driver’s license.Benefits include:Two well-being days annually.Long service leave pro-rata after 3 years.Superannuation contributions up to 15.5%.Option to purchase additional leave or work reduced hours for extended leave.Paid leave on 24th December.Discover more about our employee benefits.Interested?
