Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality support services to clients, promoting independence, community participation, and social inclusion.
* Assist clients with daily living activities, personal care, and medication administration, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
* Implement strategies to enhance client well-being, safety, and empowerment.
* Support clients in accessing various services and activities, fostering a sense of connection and belonging.
* Document and maintain accurate records of client progress and incidents, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Collaborate with the broader team to ensure seamless delivery of support services.
Requirements:
* Certification: Minimum Certificate IV in Disability Support or related field, demonstrating expertise in disability support principles and practices.
* Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Support Worker, showcasing a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
* Manual Handling: Proficient in manual handling techniques and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and staff.
* Medication Administration: Competent in providing medication as prescribed, upholding the highest standards of client care.
* Level 2 Experience: Demonstrated experience working with clients at a Level 2 support needs level or above, requiring a deep understanding of individualized support planning.
* NDIS Knowledge: Familiarity with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and relevant policies, enabling informed decision-making and effective service delivery.
* Empathy and Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help individuals with disabilities, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
