Council is seeking experienced rural labourers to join the Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC) team.
As a Saleyards Assistant at the Livestock Marketing Centre, you will be responsible to deliver and maintain the LMC to a high standard for users of the facility by washing manure off concrete rain, hail and shine and maintaining troughs, fencing, paddock maintenance and general site cleaning. The right people will get the opportunity to assist on sale days as well.

* Four (4) permanent, full-time positions available.
* Remuneration package of $2,180.38 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,616.46 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).
* Thirty-eight (38) hour week with one (1) Rostered Day Off (RDO) per month.

This Position Will Be Responsible To
* Undertake varied general labouring duties including but not limited to stock yard cleaning; maintenance of gardens and lawns, mowing, whipper snipping, weeding, irrigation, weed chemical application, cleaning of facilities, and rubbish removal;
* Maintain a high level of presentation for Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC) facilities and yards;
* Assist the team in scale/sale operation duties on sale days;
* Utilise and maintain items of plant, equipment, tools (hand and power) and personal protective equipment and clothing (PPE/C) in accordance with Council standards; and
* Complete documentation relevant to the role e.g. standard forms, site safety documentation etc.
As The Successful Applicant, You Will Have The Following
* Class C Driver's Licence (Desirable).
* General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
* Demonstrated experience relevant to the role including tractor and mowing operations, chemical application and general labouring in rural environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently and sound communication and interpersonal skills.
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant is required to be vaccinated for Q-Fever and will be asked to provide evidence of this.
