Goodline is seeking an experienced Line Borer to join our growing operations in Weipa, Far North Queensland. This role suits a motivated tradesperson with strong on-site machining experience, ideally within mining or heavy industry environments.
About the Role
On-site portable line boring and machining
Working on heavy mobile plant and fixed equipment
Accurate setup, alignment and tolerance measurement
Maintenance, repairs and shutdown works
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a site team
FIFO or residential options available
About You
Proven experience as a Line Borer / On-Site Machinist
Trade background highly regarded (Fitter, Boilermaker, Diesel Fitter or similar)
Strong understanding of safety systems and procedures
Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in remote locations
Desirable
Mine site experience (Rio Tinto Weipa preferred)
High Risk Work Licence (LF, DG, RB)
Experience with Climax or similar line boring equipment
Standard 11 (coal) – advantageous but not essential
