About the Opportunity
Torbay Lifestyles & Care is seeking Registered Nurses for full-time, part-time, and casual opportunities based in Hervey Bay, QLD. This role is open to experienced nurses who are passionate about aged care and ready to make a positive difference.
If you have a genuine desire to help others and are open to learning, we will provide the leadership training and support you need to succeed. You'll lead and guide a team, ensure excellent care delivery, and drive positive change in line with the strengthened aged care standards.
We offer permanent rates starting at $48.67/hour (above award rates) and casual rates at $60.84/hour (above award rates). There are full-time, part-time, and casual roles available, with extra shifts subject to availability and requirements. Ideally, candidates will commit to a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.
Available shifts include:
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Night shifts
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of care staff to ensure the highest standards of care are delivered
- Managing staff performance, including conducting regular performance reviews and providing support for ongoing development
- Providing high-quality medical care, including assessing residents' health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments
- Developing and implementing individualised care plans based on residents' specific needs and conditions
- Conducting thorough health assessments and maintaining accurate medical records
- Addressing pain concerns and implementing pain management strategies
- Responding to medical emergencies and coordinating appropriate care
- Offering comfort and support during end-of-life care, including palliative care
- Driving continuous improvement in care delivery with leadership support and guidance
About You

Required qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing qualification with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- A passion for aged care and a commitment to improving residents' quality of life
- Strong communication skills to positively engage with residents, families, and colleagues
- A positive, can-do attitude, and a desire to learn and grow in a leadership position
