The Assistant Property Manager (PM in Training) role is designed to provide high level operational support across the property management portfolio while developing the skills and experience required to progress into a professional Property Manager.
This position delivers task - based assistance in leasing, inspections, maintenance coordination, tenant liaison, move - in and vacate processes, and administrative duties. Over the first six months, the role focuses on learning, competency development, and supporting the Property Manager and Team Leader. Once capability is demonstrated, the PM in Training will gradually assume core property management responsibilities under supervision.
This role supports the agency's commitment to delivering exceptional service, ensuring compliance, and maintaining efficient workflow across the Property Management team
Experience & Knowledge (Desirable)
● Experience in property management, leasing, or administrative support.
● An understanding of residential tenancy legislation and compliance.
● Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
● Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
● Proficiency in Property Me or similar property management software (preferred).
● Understanding of local rental market trends.
Qualifications (Preferred, Not Mandatory)
● Real Estate Certificate of Registration (essential or willingness to obtain).
Licenses
● Valid Driver's Licence (essential).
