About the Role
Rigcom is seeking experienced Blade Repair Technicians to join our exciting and growing team for repair and maintenance projects on wind farms across Australia. Reporting to the Site Lead, this role will primarily involve repair of composite materials used on wind turbine rotor blades and other installations, treatments and repairs on customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete the blade repair tasks in line with the requirements of the blade repair plan, under the supervision of the Site Lead and Composites Engineer.
* Utilise the rope access or BAP (training provided) to conduct safe and efficient blade maintenance, inspections and repair work.
* Actively participate in site inductions, toolbox and daily pre-start meetings.
* Complete electronic reporting requirements for the company and clients.
* Work closely with supervisors, other technicians and stakeholders on site.
* Adhere to all safety and site compliance standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Have full GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and GWO Blade Repair (BR) certificate
* IRATA Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 (Level 3 highly desirable)
* White Card, LVR/CPR
* Enter & Work in Confined Spaces (within 2 years)
* Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Willing to do 3 weeks on, 1 week off roster
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test
Desired Qualifications (Highly regarded)
* Experience conducting or assisting with complex blade repairs
* Experience with GE, Nordex, Suzlon or Siemens turbines
* EWP ticket and High-Risk Work Licence
