Job Summary:
Financial Operations Lead
As a Financial Operations Lead, you will oversee all financial aspects of construction operations. This involves managing a team of finance professionals, developing close working relationships with construction managers and estimators to ensure consistent business processes.
* Review and development of internal controls around job estimating work-in-progress cost management and progress claims.
* Assist operational teams with tender submission requirements.
* Support project managers in analyzing job variances and future improvements.
Responsibilities:
Construction Management
* Develop and implement internal controls for job estimating work-in-progress cost management and progress claims.
* Collaborate with operational teams on tender submission requirements.
* Provide analytical support to project managers on job variances and future improvements.
Budgeting & Forecasting
* Prepare annual budgets (P&L, Cashflow & Balance Sheet) and manage ongoing forecasts.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
* Generate weekly cash forecasts and analyze variations in forecasted working capital requirements.
* Approve AP payments within payment terms to ensure timely supplier payments.
Month End
* Ensure accurate accounting control over cut-off deadlines and data integrity review.
* Own general ledgers of commercial construction entities and process transactions accurately and timely.
* Review and analyze monthly P&L, balance sheet & cashflow movements against budget and reforecast as needed.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Support tax queries from the tax manager to facilitate bi-annual tax effect accounting schedules.
* Review GST reporting to ensure accurate inclusion in Group BAS returns.
* Assist with audit queries related to commercial construction operations.
