We’re currently recruiting GPs to join our Healthdirect Helpline team, with a focus on after-hours coverage. As part of this virtual service, you’ll deliver consultations via phone and video, working alongside experienced nurses and fellow GPs to provide high-quality care across all age groups. Patients are referred following nurse triage, ensuring clinically appropriate and streamlined support. This is a flexible opportunity to contribute to accessible care outside standard hours, with a supportive team and well-established systems.
Responsibilities
* Deliver consultations via phone and video as part of the Healthdirect Helpline team.
* Collaborate with nurses and fellow GPs to provide high-quality care across all age groups.
* Manage after-hours coverage with clinically appropriate and streamlined support following nurse triage.
* Work from home with full tech setup.
Qualifications
* Min. 3 years’ GP experience (1+ year in Australian practice).
* Comfortable with virtual consults and digital collaboration.
* Private home office with reliable internet (min. 50Mbps down / 20Mbps up via Cable or NBN).
Employment details
* Part-time or full-time (min. 0.2 FTE / 8 hrs per week).
* Fixed-term contract to 30 June 2026.
