**The Role**
As the National Account Manager, you will report to the General Manager Sales. Your role is to implement the company's strategic plan across key categories and ensure growth & profitability of assigned key categories under one of the company's National accounts. Keys areas of focus will be:
- Work with the GM of sales and GM of IP to prepare strategic business plans & tender submissions
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry trends, competitive activity and customers strategic direction
- Support the Quality Assurance Team with supplier maintenance, customer queries, targets, product specifications and timely delivery for the purpose of increased customer and supplier satisfaction
- Develop and coordinate domestic supply programs to the client, while maintaining strong relationships and processes with suppliers and growers
- Negotiate pricing on performance and develop detailed costing analysis on all products to ensure all operational, import or domestic freight and customer service discount percentage is factored into COGS
- Review gross margin of COGS against sale price to the client to ensure business profitability
- Submit product quotes, review and negotiate when necessary
- Oversee all new product development is completed on time and to the clients standards
- Develop presentations for internal business use and nurturing supplier relationships
- Develop and manage internal and external relationships
- Achieve business objectives around margin and revenue targets ensuring the accounts financial targets are met
- Prepare and develop annual budgets in collaboration with GM and other members of the senior team
