About the Role
An opportunity for a Planning Officer has arisen within the Shire of Murray's Planning and Environment team. This role will provide a unique and interesting prospect for planning professionals searching for a diverse and rewarding career.
Reporting to the Coordinator Planning Services, you will be responsible for ensuring Council's planning obligations are carried out in a professional and efficient manner. This will include working both independently and collaboratively on a variety of statutory and strategic tasks, underpinned with a strong customer-focused approach.
We are looking for candidates who have completed their studies, have a passion for planning, and are eager to learn. Previous experience will be considered favourably.
This is a full-time position offering 76 hours per fortnight, with a salary range of $83,063.15 to $95,147.92 per annum at EBA Level 6/7, depending on the successful candidate's skills, knowledge and experience.

* Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning.
* Knowledge of planning principles and a demonstrated ability to apply these in a practical manner (essential)
* Excellent communication, customer service and negotiation skills
* Ability to work autonomously under the guidance of the Coordinator Planning Services
