In this role, you will contribute to designing and drafting plans for our concrete paving and civil construction projects, with a focus on integrating functional and aesthetic landscape elements into urban and commercial developments.1. Design & PlanningCreating hardscape designs (pathways, driveways, plazas, patios, etc.) using concrete pavers, stamped concrete, or permeable paving.Developing site plans that incorporate drainage, grading, and accessibility (ADA compliance).Selecting materials, colors, textures, and patterns for concrete paving to match client needs and environmental conditions.Using CAD, SketchUp, or BIM software to produce detailed drawings and 3D visualizations.2. Technical & Engineering SupportEnsuring proper sub-base preparation and paving techniques for durability.Advising on load-bearing requirements (e.g., for vehicular vs. pedestrian traffic).Incorporating sustainable practices (permeable pavers, recycled materials, heat-reflective coatings).Coordinating with civil engineers and contractors on structural integrity.3. Project Management & CoordinationCollaborating with clients, contractors, and suppliers to align design with execution.Overseeing installation quality to ensure compliance with design specs.Conducting site inspections to verify proper slope, compaction, and jointing.Managing budgets and timelines for paving projects.4. Sustainability & CompliancePromoting eco-friendly paving solutions (e.g., porous concrete, UV-resistant coatings).Ensuring compliance with local zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.Recommending urban heat island mitigation strategies (cool pavements, shade integration).5.
