About the Role
In this critical position, you will be part of an exciting project to support Offshore Patrol Vessel and Hydrographic Capability for the Australian Defence Force.
As a Lead Engineer - Mechanical, your responsibilities will include conducting systems analysis, engaging with system design activities, and performing technical risk analysis to ensure the success of the project.
* Main Responsibilities
* Derive function, performance, and interface requirements to meet electrical safety parameters.
* Ensure that mechanical design artefacts are compatible with the baselined product through engagement with system design activities.
* Support development and review of hazard logs, safety case arguments, and risk mitigation actions through technical risk analysis.
* Implement assigned mechanical components according to appropriate standards and procedures.
* Represent the company's engineering professional services to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant mechanical/mechatronics/structural engineering discipline.
* Experience in an engineering discipline, including involvement in one or more of the following practices: Requirements Definition, Management, Analysis, Design, and Verification and Validation.
* Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure the company's reputation.
* Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, when a university degree is held.
