Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to provide support services to our customers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance;
* Offering social support and transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, and medical appointments;
* Assisting with domestic tasks, such as light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation;
* Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment;
* Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress;
Additionally, you will provide feedback on customer progress following each service.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Experience in Disability or Aged Care community support;
* Caring, compassionate, friendly, and reliable attitude;
* Strong communication skills - written and verbal;
* Availability for early starts, evening services, and/or active night/sleepover services;
* Ability to build rapport and good working relationships;
* Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters and recording customer feedback notes;
A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support, or Disability Services is desirable but not essential.
