Job Title: Commis Chef
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Commis Chef to join our culinary team at DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Commis or Apprentice Chef, with a passion for food and learning.
Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with Hilton standards.
* Maintain consistent food quality and ensure all mis-en-place is ready.
* Support departmental targets and contribute to kitchen revenue through effective food cost control.
* Assist the kitchen team and maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 1 or higher in Food Preparation and Cooking.
* Positive attitude and good communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
* Basic food hygiene certification and completion of an accredited cookery course or apprenticeship.
