Financial Transaction Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a financial transaction assistant. The successful candidate will assist with various tasks related to settlements, pre-sale reviews, and document preparation.
The ideal candidate will have basic property-related experience in a law firm or conveyancing company, or secretarial experience seeking a career as a paralegal in a fast-paced environment. This position would be suitable for someone who has just finished or is finishing a TAFE diploma in Legal or Business Administration.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Obtaining title, ASIC & PPSR searches;
* Preparing documentation for settlements;
* Preparation and review of PPSR releases;
* Drafting loan documents and other legal documents;
* Opening and maintaining PEXA work spaces;
* Assisting with trust settlements;
* Assisting with pre-sale reviews;
* Attendance with paper settlements (external) if and when required;
* Preparation of internal and external correspondence;
* Assisting with the preparation of fee estimates;
* Maintaining client securities;
* File management including invoicing and filing;
* Undertaking general administrative tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 12 months' property-related or legal administration experience in a law firm or conveyancing company;
* Self-motivated and deadline-driven with problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills;
* High attention to detail and accuracy;
* Time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines;
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Outlook, Word, and Excel (formulas and organization);
* A proactive, positive, and energetic attitude.
