Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) delivering holistic primary healthcare across East Arnhem Land.

The Role
Responsible to the Board, your critical role is to provide leadership for the corporation, develop and execute strategy and manage all aspects of the corporation's operations including ensuring its financial stability and success and support the Board in ensuring sound governance across risk, statutory compliance and stewardship of the corporation's assets.
You will actively engage with multiple key stakeholders to provide quality comprehensive, holistic, primary and preventative health outcomes in East Arnhem Land.
The role can be based in Darwin or Nhulunbuy.
Key Skills & Experience
Relevant qualifications in Business, Governance, Law or similar
Previous experience in a CEO or Senior Executive role
Inherent capability to work effectively with Indigenous peoples in a culturally appropriate and community controlled manner
Demonstrated leadership experience in building successful organisations and high performing teams
Excellent interpersonal communication, advocacy and influencing skills, especially in cross-cultural contexts and with key stakeholders including Government, communities and regional bodies
Proven ability in achieving organisational goals (financial, HR, strategic, advocacy, holistic service delivery, career pathways, healthy business operations and systems etc)
Understanding of financial management, change management, HRM or workforce development procedures and controls (including capital planning).
Ability to travel including across East Arnhem Land (including travel in a light aircraft) and a current manual driver's licence.
This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact, support Aboriginal community control, and work in a leadership role where culture, strategy, and service intersect.
A base salary of $320K plus Superannuation is on offer, depending on experience.
Additional components apply: $15,900 for salary sacrificing per FBT year and $2,800 in meal and entertainment benefits per FBT year.
This position receives 6 weeks' annual leave as well as an additional 1 week for use during limited service periods.
