The organisation has delivered a range of award winning projects such as the Norwood Green residential development and other landmark residential, commercial and industrial projects.Reporting to the Director and as a member of the leadership team, the Financial Controller is responsible for leading the financial management and governance of the organisation.
This hands-on role oversees all aspects of financial reporting, compliance and internal controls, while providing strategic insights to support business decision making and growth.
Responsibilities
Leading the preparation of accurate weekly, monthly and annual financial reports across multiple entities.
Managing cash flow, capital expenditure and working capital to ensure financial stability and forward visibility.
Overseeing accounts payable and maintaining integrity of the general ledger.
Administering and processing the internal accounting system and managing the purchase order process and BAS preparation.
Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting and financial regulations.
Delivering timely, relevant financial information to internal stakeholders and joint venture partners.
Acting as the primary liaison with external accountants and advisors on tax and reporting matters.
Acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership team by ensuring financial information is accessible, reliable and tailored to business needs.
Partnering with the leadership team and project managers to ensure financial transparency.
Managing finances of investment entities.
Qualifications
CA/CPA qualified, commercially focused finance skilled with proven experience in a similar role, ideally gained in the construction, property development or related sectors.
Strong technical foundation in financial reporting and compliance, coupled with commercial acumen and a proactive, solutions focused mindset.
Ability to lead, collaborate and communicate effectively to support delivery of commercially focused insights and longer term financial planning.
