About the Role
As a Funeral Directors Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional support to our team.
* Preparing and delivering funeral services with precision and care
* Greeting families and attendees at funerals with compassion and empathy
* Maintaining fleet vehicles and equipment to ensure seamless operations
* Contributing to the general cleaning and maintenance of facilities and vehicles
* Transferring deceased individuals into our care with dignity
* Engraving and cutting signs and plaques with attention to detail
* Operating video cameras and multimedia equipment for flawless presentations
* Assembling and installing small monuments and plaques with precision
* Setting up equipment for funeral services, including cemetery equipment
* Trimming coffins and caskets with finesse

This role requires flexibility, including after-hours work. After initial training and probationary period, successful candidates will join our on-call roster rotation.
Key Attributes of Successful Candidates
* Presentation and honesty are essential
* Able to maintain confidentiality
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
* Excellent communication skills
* Comfortable working in the funeral industry and maintaining composure in challenging situations
* Holds a current Australian Driver's License
* Availability for after-hours work
* Basic computer skills at a minimum
* Able to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable Persons Clearance
* Prepared to receive vocationally relevant vaccinations
