We are seeking the newest member to join our team of passionate Bakers at Toronto.
As a Qualified Baker at Bakers Delight, you will be responsible for:
* Baking and presenting quality product to meet changing customer needs
* Coaching and supporting the development of Apprentices and Bakers Assistants
* Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the bakery
* Assisting in maintaining stock control and production expenses, following recipes
* Providing delightful customer service when required
As a passionate baker, you will need to:
* Have Certificate III in Baking (or 2-3 years relevant work experience)
* Be a team player
* Be used to starting work early (SHIFTS START AS EARLY AS 1AM)
* Be available to work across weekdays, weekends, and some public holidays
* Be comfortable working in a busy production environment
* Take pride in producing high quality products
Oven
* baking beautiful golden-brown products
* managing product flow through provers
* placing baked products in the right shop location as they are removed from the oven
Bowl
* weigh up ingredients according to provided recipes
* mixing dough according to defined dough schedule
* help on bench with processing dough
* ensure smooth production flow
Bench
* Process dough in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with defined dough schedule
* Ability to keep pace in a fast-moving production environment
General Requirements
* Bakers Delight experience is not mandatory but will be an advantage
* Bakery operations and cleanliness in accordance with WHS standards, FSP and 5-Star
Competencies Required: For this position you must be fully trained across all stations, i.e., bench, bowl and oven, and ready to hit the ground running but transition training will be provided.
Salary is dependent on experience and availability.
