Fire Rescue Victoria are seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst to join a collaborative team.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is a modern fire and rescue service that meets the needs of twenty-first century Victoria. Established on 1 July 2020 as part of Victoria's Fire Services Reform, FRV serves and protects communities across Melbourne and Victoria's major regional centres.
**Your new role**
As a Procurement Analyst you will be joining an established procurement function where you will be a key member of the team. You'll work closely with a variety of Category Managers, the broader procurement team and cross functionally to ensure systems competency, drive procurement insights and analytics and more generally, be a key contributor in ensuring the effectiveness of the procurement function.
Key elements of the role include:
- Lead and coordinate training for various procurement systems and portals, including SAP, eProcure and VendorPanel, developing and rolling out training programs and material
- Act as the key point of contact for the tenders portal, including managing matters related to Local Jobs First, social procurement and other Victorian government procurement obligations
- Perform market and spend analysis across various spend categories and making recommendations to assist the procurement team with informed decision making
- Management of vendor onboarding, alongside ongoing vendor management activities
- Procurement and contract reporting on a regular and ad-hoc basis
**What you'll need to succeed**
This role will suit you because of your prior analytics experience, ideally developed within procurement environments. You will have sound knowledge of procurement processes within a structured corporate environment, as well as contracts and category management frameworks, and will be able to present detailed and thorough insights through analysis.
Attributes and skills required to be successful in this role include:
- Prior experience with spend/market analysis in a corporate procurement environment
- Knowledge and experience with the Victorian Government Purchasing Board policies and guidelines (desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in procurement or contract management i.e. CIPS (desirable)
- Experience with procurement systems, ideally SAP, eProcure and VendorPanel (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to work cross functionally and bring stakeholders together
- Creative, innovative and strategic thinking.

- Ability to achieve commercial outcomes and business goals that mitigate risk and achieve value for money.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly on Microsoft Excel
