Employment Type: Permanent full time positionHours: Working 80hrs per fortnight, accruing a monthly ADOSalary: As per NSW Health Nurses & Midwives Award, Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 1Location: Mercy Health AlburyUpload with Application: Resume, cover letter, and all relevant qualificationsContact: Jane Bryant, Operations Manager/Director of Nursing albury@mercy.com.auAbout The OpportunityThis position ensures the efficient coordination of patient flow, working closely with medical staff and Nursing Unit Managers to provide excellent care.The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting clinical reviews of patients prior to admission to assess their suitability for our services.The role involves close collaboration with Medical staff and Nursing Unit Managers to manage admissions for both the Geriatric Evaluation Management Unit (20-bed inpatient unit) and the Palliative Care Unit (10-bed inpatient unit).Key Responsibilities:Coordinate patient admission processes for inpatient services in Geriatric Evaluation Management and Palliative Care.Work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team while aligning with the core values of Mercy Health.Minimum Requirements:Current registration with the Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with demonstrated ability to meet the ANMC competencies for the Registered Nurse/ Midwife.Demonstrated computer skills with experience in the use of MLHD clinical, quality and workforce information management systems.Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture for nursing and midwifery services.Demonstrated experience with managing, or responsibility for the allocation and coordination of nursing resources.Well-developed interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills with the ability to negotiate resolutions and manage conflict.Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage clinical services including after hour's inpatient bed utilisation and emergencies, management of performance targets.Evidence of a current Class C driver's license and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
