About The Role
As an Assistant Category Manager - Frozen Fish & Frozen Processed Poultry, you will be part of the broader Protein & Meals team and report to the Senior Category Manager. This fast-paced role involves managing strategic objectives, promotional trade plans, and working closely with suppliers.
You will assist in growing profitable category sales, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting the customer-centric category strategy. Responsibilities include leading trade planning, ranging new products, and managing various projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage forecasting and range reviews end-to-end.
Maintain all category data, including promotional and data systems, and new lines.
Implement the overall category strategy.
Execute pricing, promotion, range selection, and layout development.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
About You And Your Skills
Successful candidates will have experience as an Assistant Category Manager or similar role within retail or FMCG industries.
Required Skills
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of industry dynamics.
Procurement and sourcing experience.
Project management skills.
Knowledge of merchandising functions and processes.
Analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from data.
Ability to develop and articulate category strategies.
Cross-functional project management experience.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with stakeholders.
