The Program
The Heritage Archives houses organizational records of the Australian Red Cross, from annual reports and committee minutes to uniforms and first aid kits, posters, and photographs. We are the guardians of ARC history, storing and preserving it for access and use.
The Opportunity
This role suits someone with an interest in history and archiving, with accurate recording skills, who can commit to one day per week to help us record and preserve ARC records, under the direction of the Archivist, and to undertake special projects as required. Experience in the following areas is required to perform the role:
• Experience or an interest in working with archives
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint or scanning programs.
Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the world's largest humanitarian network.
The Impact
As an Archives Volunteer, you will join a small team of dedicated record guardians, improving access to the heritage of the Australian Red Cross for researchers, documentary makers, writers and the wider community. You will make a lasting connection with an international humanitarian network helping Australians.

For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, organised through Red Cross. To submit this application, you will need to upload a recent copy of your Cover Letter and CV and/or provide a summary of relevant experience/interest.
