1915 is seeking an experienced Assistant Venue Manager (AVM) to assist with running our restaurant and bar in Geelong. The venue is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and hosts a range of functions from corporate events to birthday parties and weddings.
You would be joining the Hamilton Hospitality Group, renowned for bringing you restaurants like Woolstore, The retreat, Mexicams and Paddock bakery.
About the role:
Reporting to the venue manager; as AVM, you will oversee daily operations, inspire, and lead your team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and ensure that the venue runs smoothly. Your leadership will drive growth, uphold high standards, and foster a safe, positive, and vibrant workplace.
Key accountabilities:
* Supervise, motivate, and inspire the team to consistently deliver exceptional customer experience.
* Managing the team and ensuring training and development.
* Growing a positive, safe, work culture.
* Management of P.O.S system - Impos
* Management of stock control - Drinking the profits
* Confident ability to manage, plan and execute a roster within set parameters. - Deputy
* Ensuring functions are appropriately prepared for and run smoothly, working with the Events Manager
* Managing and maintaining company policies and procedures.
* Regular reconciliations of petty cash, floats, and daily cash takings to effectively manage cash flow.
* Constant analysis of the restaurant's strengths and weaknesses.
About you:
* You will have managerial courage.
