An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager / Plant Controller to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a permanent, site-based leadership role, currently located in Eagle Farm, with transition to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Lytton (Port of Brisbane precinct) in late 2026.
This role will play a critical part in driving site performance, partnering closely with Operations and leading the finance function through a major site transition.
The Opportunity
As the on-site Finance lead, you will act as the key link between corporate finance and plant operations, embedding yourself in the day-to-day workings of the manufacturing site.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys, understanding operational drivers, influencing stakeholders and turning financial insights into commercial outcomes.
You will:
* Lead financial operations for the manufacturing site, ensuring integrity of management accounts and compliance;
* Deliver weekly and monthly P&L reporting with clear commentary around cost drivers and operational performance;
* Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality teams to drive improved business performance;
* Oversee budgeting, quarterly forecasting and master budget preparation;
* Monitor inventory, working capital and fixed assets to minimise risk and optimise performance;
* Evaluate capital expenditure and profit improvement initiatives; and
* Supervise a Cost Accountant and ensure accurate cost accounting data.
About You
You will bring:
* CPA or CA qualification;
* 5+ years’ experience in a Finance Manager / Plant Controller role within manufacturing or similar industry;
* Strong ERP exposure (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or similar);
* Advanced Excel capability;
* Proven ability to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders;
* A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to immerse yourself in site operations; and
* Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights clearly to operational leaders.
