Safety Advisor - HSE Role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Health Safety Environment Advisor to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for assisting with the management and implementation of our Australian Health, Safety and Environmental Management System, ensuring compliance with Corporate HSE Management System processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct support to the National HSE Manager and contribute to driving world-class HSE outcomes across our Australian Projects, Warehouses and Offices
* Offer local (Perth) and domestic Project HSE support in both site-based and non-site-based greenfield and brownfield Project roles - some short-term/ad-hoc domestic travel required
* Develop a forward-thinking, pragmatic, and strategic approach to HSE execution, with a willingness to drive improvement initiatives
* Support pre-contract HSE reviews and submissions for Australian opportunities
* Assist in reviewing, onboarding, and monitoring Subcontractors across CB&I sites
* Contribute to preparing various Management Plans, Risk Assessments (HAZID, SWMS), and overall preparation of Project HSE Management Systems as part of Project pre-mobilization, mobilization, and execution phases
* Support Project Teams and Project HSE Advisors in completing and reviewing incident investigations and ensuring these are entered into the CB&I Incident Management System
* Provide technical input and coaching for Project team members during the development of task-specific risk assessments (HAZID, Construction Methodologies, SWMS)
* Support employee and subcontractor onboarding through delivery of location-specific induction content
* Assist in developing and delivering HSE training and awareness programs and provide in-field coaching to further educate the workforce
* Manage the HSE Hazard and Corrective Action Tracking Register to ensure actions have been completed and closed out
* Conduct training GAP analysis of employee training attainment and positional needs
* Take an active lead in implementing and monitoring the CB&I Psychosocial Management Framework and programs
* Support facilitating Injury Management and Return to Work process for employees as required
* Maintain strong communication skills and positively engage with external stakeholders, Senior Management representatives, and Project employees
* Conduct internal HSE Auditing across Projects and Facilities
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience within construction, manufacturing, oil, and gas sectors with expertise in structural mechanical and piping (greenfield and brownfield environments preferred)
* Minimum Diploma OHS
* Certificate IV Training and Assessment
* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant statutory regulations
* Training in HSE practices including Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control, HSE induction/education practices, working at height, and confined space entry
* Experience in completing incident investigation and reporting (TapRoot preferred)
* Excellent time management and prioritization skills
* Attention to detail
* Interpersonal and communication skills at a high level are essential
