We're working with a premier firm seeking to grow its Sydney Funds practice, offering exposure to market-leading transactions and some of Australia's and the region's most sophisticated asset managers and institutional investors.
The Team
This highly regarded team advises fund managers, sponsors, and investors across the full lifecycle of fund formation and investment management. The team is known for its deep technical expertise, commercial pragmatism, and involvement in some of the most significant funds transactions in the Australian and Asia-Pacific markets.
The Role
You'll work across a broad range of funds matters, including fund formation, investor negotiations, and ongoing fund governance and compliance. The role offers strong exposure to complex work and the opportunity to work closely with leading partners on high‐profile mandates.
Key responsibilities include:
* Advising on the structuring and formation of private funds across multiple asset classes
* Drafting and negotiating limited partnership agreements, side letters, and investor documentation
* Advising on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to fund managers operating in Australia and the region
Requirements
* 1–8 years' experience in funds or corporate/finance at a top‐tier Australian or international firm
* Experience in fund formation, investment management, or private markets transactions preferred
* Strong drafting, analytical, and commercial skills
* Excellent academic background and communication skills
* Australian / UK / SG / HK / US qualified lawyers are very encouraged to apply
