Business Development Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events sector.
This role is pivotal in expanding our client base, nurturing key accounts, and positioning our business as a trusted leader in the corporate and leisure events space.
About the Role
* Sales & Revenue Growth:
o Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the MICE sector, focusing on the local market
o Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
o Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bids
o Lead negotiations, manage contracts, and close deals with corporate clients and agencies
* Client Relationship Management:
o Build and sustain long-term relationships with corporate clients, DMCs, travel agents, and key local partners
o Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring excellent service delivery from enquiry through to event execution
o Conduct post-event follow-ups, collect feedback, and foster repeat business opportunities
* Market Development & Strategy:
o Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy
o Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through networking, trade shows, and digital channels
o Partner with marketing to design targeted campaigns and promotional collateral
o Contribute to annual sales and marketing strategies to strengthen market share in the MICE sector
* Collaboration & Reporting:
o Work closely with operations, event planning, and catering teams to ensure flawless execution of client requirements
o Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline updates, and sales reports to management
o Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client functions, promoting the brand effectively
Requirements
* Proven track record in business development or sales within hospitality, tourism, or MICE
* Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with confidence in networking
* High level of initiative, motivation, and resilience
* Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally while managing multiple projects
