About the Opportunity:
Key Responsibilities:
Providing professional guidance to applicants and the public on planning and regulatory matters
Conducting inspections to ensure compliance with approved development conditions
Preparing and presenting reports and written correspondence for both internal and public audiences
Collaborating with senior planners and contributing to ongoing policy development
Maintaining accurate records and adhering to the Council's standards for safety and environmental management
Representing the Council at community meetings and effectively communicating complex information

Skills and Attributes:
Solid ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in person
Resilient, professional, and capable of managing a high workload
Experience in handling inquiries and providing quality customer service
A strong understanding and experience with NSW Planning regulations is vital:
Demonstrated ability to operate independently and as part of a collaborative team
Coastal, rural, and commercial planning experience is beneficial but not mandatory
