A great opportunity for a Trades Assistant (Marine) to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Ross Island, Townsville QLD. The Trades Assistant (Marine) is responsible for assisting with maintenance activities on a vast range of exciting Defence vehicles and assets.

About the role
* Supporting paint blasting activities
* Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the workshop
* Assisting in maintenance and storeroom tasks
* Maintaining the work area in a neat and orderly manner
* Operating plant and equipment where qualified and licensed to do so
About you
* Industrial painting experience is highly regarded.
* Hold a current Driver's License (C class, manual, open)
* Forklift licence required
* Confined space entry desirable
* Have a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks with minimal supervision
* Computer Literacy using Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
* Must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
