Darwalla is a third-generation family business. We started producing chickens over 90+ years ago in Mt Cotton, with farms located in the Redlands, on the Darling Downs and in the Lockyer Valley. Safety is a priority of ours and we look after our people.
About the Role
Join our friendly and supportive 6-person Feed Mill team, responsible for producing poultry feed across our operations.
* Batching and operating plant equipment
* Scheduling deliveries
* Troubleshooting breakdowns
* Assisting with repairs and maintenance
Working Hours
* Casual, 30 hours a week
* Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
* Rotating morning and afternoon shifts
* Afternoon shift starts at midday
* Overtime required as part of operations (paid at double time)
This is a 24/7 industry, so flexibility is essential.
About You
To be successful, you will have:
* Current forklift licence
* Confined space entry licence
* Strong mechanical aptitude
* Hands-on, practical approach
* Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Problem-solving ability
* Flexible attitude
* Driver's licence and reliable transport
* Physical capability for manual tasks
