We are seeking a dedicated and patient Math Tutor to provide tutoring support for a Year 10 student every Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm to 7pm. This position is aimed at assisting the student in comprehending and understanding math homework and assessments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one math tutoring sessions.
- Assist with understanding and completing homework and assessments.
- Develop customized learning plans and strategies to help improve math skills.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to help manage frustration and stay motivated.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching math, preferably at the high school level.
- Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
- Patience and understanding, especially when dealing with students who may struggle with learning difficulties.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the student and their support network.
- Availability to tutor every Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.
- Must Live in Bald Hills or surrounding areas
- Valid Police Check.
- Rights to work in Australia.
- Valid Blue Card.
**Additional Information**:
- The student has been diagnosed with ADHD and ASD (Autism) and requires assistance with regulating emotions when facing difficulties in understanding schoolwork.
- The tutoring sessions will be monitored and reviewed regularly to ensure progress.
- Competitive hourly rate of $38-$45 based on qualifications and experience.
