We're seeking a Tax Manager to lead our tax compliance and advisory activities, supporting business-critical decisions and ensuring full alignment with Australian tax regulations and international standards. Based at our Nambour corporate office, this is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing
* Lead the preparation, review and lodgement of tax returns including income tax, GST, FBT and payroll tax
* Deliver accurate tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations for financial reporting
* Provide clear, commercially-focused tax advice across a broad range of business transactions
* Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex tax matters
* Drive continuous improvement in tax processes and controls, with a strong focus on compliance
What sets you apart
* Previous experience in Big 4 or corporate tax, including MEC groups, tax consolidation, and deferred tax
* CA/CPA qualified with a Commerce or Accounting degree
* Deep knowledge of Australian tax law, ATO guidance, and IFRS/Corporations Act compliance
* Strong Excel skills and ERP system experience (ideally JDE/Oracle)
* Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused with excellent communication skills
Nice to have
* Commercial experience in the mining or heavy industries
* Exposure to US GAAP standards
