The role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a cleaner for NDIS participants. The cleaner will play a crucial role in providing cleaning services to individuals who are participants of the NDIS. This role requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail to ensure a safe and clean environment for NDIS participants.
Duties include but are not limited to
* General lawn care: mowing, edging and blowing
* Routine garden maintenance including weeding, pruning and hedging
* Green waste removal and tidy-up of outdoor areas
* Basic upkeep of plants, garden beds and outdoor pathways
* Reporting any property concerns or hazards to the office
* Providing reliable, safe and professional service at each visit
* Respect for Participant Privacy and Dignity: Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of NDIS participants while providing cleaning services in their homes or designated spaces.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, including detailed task lists, cleaning schedules, and any incidents or observations, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
* Work independently to ensure contractual obligations are met and exceeded, promptly reporting any on-site issues to management.
About you
* Experience: Previous experience in professional gardening services is preferred, particularly in residential or healthcare settings. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or vulnerable populations is an asset.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with gardening techniques, equipment, and products suitable for various surfaces and environments. Understanding of plant infection control principles and procedures is advantageous.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals, including people with disabilities, their families, and support workers.
* Reliability and Trustworthiness: Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of NDIS participants.
* Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as required.
Travel, equipment/chemical reimbursement is provided.
Successful candidates are required to completed required screening checks such as NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children Check (Required)
