About the role
As Section Manager, you will:
* Lead and oversee the Deli and Butchery departments, ensuring high standards across food quality, presentation, compliance and customer service
* Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store
* Play a key role in coaching, developing and motivating your teams
* Drive strong commercial outcomes through effective stock control, merchandising and labour management
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
* Proven leadership experience (minimum 2+ years leading teams in a retail environment)
* Strong, hands-on experience in Deli and/or Butchery, with a solid understanding of fresh-food operations
* Demonstrated capability across:
* Ordering, stocktakes and inventory control
* Merchandising and promotional displays
* Stock rotation, freshness standards and waste minimisation
* Food safety, WH&S and compliance requirements
* Confident people-management skills, with the ability to engage, develop and lead teams
* Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Availability to work full-time on a rotating roster, including early starts, late finishes and alternate weekends
* Physical fitness for lifting, standing and working in a fast-paced retail environment
