We have a rewarding opportunity for a Men\u2019s Behaviour Change Practitioner to join our Family Violence and Child Wellbeing Team. Cafs facilitates Men's Behaviour Change Groups for both voluntary and mandated clients. This program has been running for over 30 years with the aim of family violence intervention and as part of Cafs commitment to ending family violence. The principle objective of the Men's Behaviour Change Practitioner is to provide high-quality, person-centred case management for men undertaking the Men's Behaviour Change Program. This role works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to provide support to men undertaking our program, while working to ensure the safety and welfare of their affected family members. The Men's Behaviour Change Practitioners will work closely with the Men Behaviour Change Facilitators to support the work with the Men; this also includes the co-facilitation of the Men's Behaviour Change groups.
About You
We are looking for a motivated, values-driven individual with experience in the family violence and or community services sector. The ideal candidate will thrive when working autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Key skills and attributes
* Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent
* You have demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in trauma informed principles and approaches
* You have demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience working within the Family Violence sector or relevant field
* Your highly developed cultural awareness and sensitivity, partnered with excellent communication skills, will enable you to build strong relationships, with our stakeholders.
