Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake desktop research and technical studies, developing high-quality reports and recommendations for clients.

- Engage with clients in a consulting capacity, delivering practical, value-driven solutions that align with their goals. 
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team’s technical capability development. 
About you 
You must have: 
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, recognised by Engineers Australia. 
- Minimum 5 years proven industry experience. 
- Strong operational knowledge of power, oil and gas facilities, and/or mineral processing plants. 
- Ability to balance site-based inspections with desktop research and analysis. 
- Willingness to travel for project delivery. 
- Interest in supporting clients through flexible operations and energy transition initiatives. 
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills. 
You will also have:

The Opportunity 
HRL seeks Technical Officers with trade backgrounds to undertake a range of ad-hoc technical, operational and project assignments in office, laboratory, workshop and on client sites. Travel domestically and overseas will be required for short-term project work. 
About the role 
Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and evaluating structures or plant; documenting results; calibrating equipment; testing and tagging; site work; equipment setup; scheduling; and cost estimates. Travel may be required. 
You will have 
- Trade background with 2+ years in a technical environment; fitter and turner experience preferred. 
- Broad knowledge of power generation and/or heavy industry; workshop skills; ability to travel. 
- Ability to provide technical advice and build client relationships; proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Overview 
Full-time and casual roles available. HRL seeks Laboratory Technicians to join our Mulgrave team to support analytical services. Roles involve diverse laboratory tasks with a flexible work approach. 
Responsibilities 
- Support analytical services for ores, raw materials and process materials. 
- Prepare samples using various techniques; analyze samples using UV-Vis, Ion Chromatography, Titrations, etc. 
- Use Laboratory Information Management System; follow quality procedures; safety compliance.

Full-time role to lead the Mulgrave Analytical Services Team, supporting OHSE and Quality, and advising on complex chemistry issues. 
Key Responsibilities 
- Financial management including P&L;, forecasting, capex. 
- Workforce planning, KPI setting, performance reviews and development. 
- Strategic planning for the team and sales/marketing support.
