Creative Chef Wanted for Current Beachside Café
We’re taking over a fresh, fun, and welcoming beachside café focused on quality ingredients, vibrant flavours, and a relaxed coastal vibe. Our menu will highlight seasonal produce, hearty brunches, and creative specials, with a strong focus on presentation and consistency.
We’re looking for a passionate, reliable, and experienced Chef to join us from the ground up and help shape our kitchen and menu.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations
- Create and refine a breakfast and lunch menu
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Manage food ordering, stock rotation, and minimising waste
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen
- Train and supervise kitchen staff as the team grows
- Work collaboratively with owners and the front-of-house team
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef in a fast-paced café or restaurant
- Creativity and passion for food, especially brunch and café-style dishes
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- High standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Reliable, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused
- Understanding of cost control and food margins
