We are looking for a seasoned Market Analyst to enhance our strategic planning and decision‐making. In this role you will develop forecast models, analyse market performance data, generate insights to drive sales strategies, collaborate with commercial and finance on strategic assumptions, maintain market reports and dashboards, manage the sales incentive process, train new team members on analytical tools, and oversee metadata changes related to market definitions and territory structures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing and developing forecast models to inform strategic planning and decision making.
- Collaborating with Business Unit Managers, Directors and Finance on key assumptions and outputs, and building scenarios to support decision making.
- Analyzing in‐market performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Utilizing data analytics tools and techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Developing and maintaining market reports and dashboards to inform strategic planning.
- Collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams to provide insights that enhance sales strategies and customer engagement.
- Supporting ad‐hoc reporting and other duties as requested.
- Managing the sales incentive process – setting targets and updating actuals in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
- Onboarding and training new starters on analytical tools and data assets.
- Working with the Data Governance Analyst to manage metadata changes for market definitions and territory structures.
- Reporting any adverse event within 24 hours in accordance with AbbVie's policies and procedures.
- Proactively participating in AbbVie's WHS programs, adhering to policies and promoting a safe work environment at all times.
- Adhering to AbbVie's internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Robust communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including forecast modelling.
- Working knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with R, Python, or SQL is desirable.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable recommendations.
