Accountant Position
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing financial reports and insightful commentaries. Your support during the transition of a company-wide ERP system upgrade will be critical. You will assist in developing and managing financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and help management interpret financial data to make informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Review store P&L for anomalies.
* Prepare end-of-month financials, including variance analysis and commentary.
* Maintain the fixed asset register.
* Assist with monthly and annual statutory reporting, entry and lodgements (GST, payroll tax, WorkCover).
* Process weekly wage journals.
* Generate periodic reports and analyze financial data for internal departments.
* Assist with stocktake reporting and reconciliation.
* Support annual audit processes.
* Perform monthly and year-end general ledger reconciliations.
* Assist with FBT financials.
* Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Finance Manager.
* Undertake other tasks as directed by the group CFO.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Strong technical accounting ability.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Meticulous, methodical, and logical approach.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Commitment to continuous learning.
* CPA or CA qualified (or progressing towards).
