Part-Time Payroll Officer | Standalone
Are you a payroll specialist looking for a partially flexible part-time role within a vibrant and growing industry? We are seeking a standalone Payroll Officer to join our clients' hospitality group based in Mascot. This is an immediate-start opportunity where you will take ownership of the payroll function while being a key member of our collaborative HR team.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy and has a strong analytical mindset to ensure our diverse workforce is paid accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end payroll process in conjunction with the outsourced provider, Employment Hero.
* Utilise Workday HRIS to maintain accurate employee records and data integrity.
* Take full ownership of the payroll function for a growing hospitality group.
* Interpret various Awards relevant to the hospitality sector.
* Use Excel to perform complex manual calculations, reconciliations, and data analysis.
* Act as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related queries from staff and management.
What we are looking for
* System Experience: Previous experience using Employment Hero and Workday is highly regarded.
* Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are essential.
* Compliance: A deep understanding of Australian payroll legislation and the ability to interpret complex award structures.
* Communication: An approachable and professional manner, with the ability to work effectively within an HR team.
