An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and professional Financial Accountant to join Doma's award-winning team. Reporting to the Financial Controller- Investments, this role supports and administers financial functions for the overall group. Working within a high-performing team, this role will complete a variety of finance tasks to a high degree of accuracy, quality and skill.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation of journals to record commercial asset income, expenses and balance sheet movements.
* On-time lodgement of quarterly and monthly BAS statements of all entities in the investments division, ensuring accurate lodgement timeframes and checklists are kept up-to-date.
* Gathering information and preparing workpapers for external tax accountants and preparing tax returns for all investment entities.
* Accurate and timely review of intergroup reconciliations.
* Managing the bank reconciliation function for certain DOMA bank accounts daily.
* Weekly and monthly reporting requirements.
* Reconciling key balance sheet and revenue accounts for all DOMA investment entities.
* Assisting with the commissioning of all assets to the fixed assets register, and processing depreciation for completed and commissioned developments.
* Assisting with the year-end audit of the financial statements for the Group.
* Ensuring all corporate information is up-to-date, including meeting minutes, constituent documents and ASIC compliance.
Skills and Experience:
* 3-5+ years of accounting experience.
* High attention to detail and accuracy of data and reporting.
* Strong organisational skills to ensure timely completion of tasks within tight timeframes.
* Ideally CA / CPA qualified or working towards a qualification.
