We are a well-established award winning and growing cafe/bakehouse known for high-quality, artisanal baked goods and exceptional attention to detail. Our focus is on seasonal, fresh ingredients, creativity, and delivering beautifully crafted pastries, breads and desserts. We have a supportive, tight-knit team and want someone passionate about pastry to help raise our standard even further.

What's On Offer

* Consistent daytime hours – early mornings, no late nights (4:30am/5am starts)

About You

* Trade-qualified (or equivalent) in pastry arts / baking with at least 2 years' experience in a busy bakery, patisserie or cafe specialising in pastries/desserts
* Strong technical pastry skills: tempering chocolate, lamination experience a must, tarts, cakes, decorative finishing, etc.
* Excellent time management—able to plan prep work, manage production schedules and meet service demands
* Committed to food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and consistency in product quality
* Creative mindset: able to develop new pastry/dessert items, seasonal specials, plating / presentation ideas
* Reliable and proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively
* Available at least one weekend shift per week; flexibility is a plus
* Experience with stock and order management.

Key Responsibilities

* Produce high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods to the highest standard each service
* Manage pastry station prep and organisation, ensuring efficiency during busy periods
* Assist with recipe development, portion control and costing
* Ensure all hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards are met and maintained
* Monitor inventory / ordering for pastry supplies & ingredients in conjunction with kitchen management
* Maintain consistency in product quality, appearance and presentation
