Job Description About the Company Our client is a well-established, globally backed manufacturer operating within the animal health and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. The Opportunity Reporting to the Engineering & Production Manager, this is a standalone, site-wide maintenance role where you will take full ownership of production equipment reliability within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role suits a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys autonomy, accountability and being the go-to technical expert on site. Key Responsibilities Perform planned, preventative and emergency maintenance Maintain and improve equipment reliability across: Autoclaves, filling labelling and printing machines, sterilisation equipment, ovens and mixers. Diagnose PLC faults Coordinate external electricians and specialist contractors when required Manage spare parts sourcing, purchasing and inventory (including imported components) Use MEX Maintenance Software to plan and document all activities Ensure strict adherence to GMP and sterile manufacturing standards Maintain accurate records and reporting What We’re Looking For Essential: 5 years overall technical experience 2–3 years hands-on experience in a GMP environment Strong mechanical maintenance background Experience in food, pharmaceutical, packaging or sterile manufacturing Ability to fault-find, read manuals and interpret schematics Comfortable working independently as the sole site maintenance specialist Highly Regarded: Trade qualification (Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Fitter or similar) Experience with autoclaves, sterilisation or pharma packing equipment Parts fabrication / machining capability Exposure to maintenance systems (MEX or similar) About You Self-directed and proactive Organised and structured in approach Comfortable being accountable for a full site Calm under pressure during breakdowns Practical, hands-on and willing to get involved Strong communicator who collaborates well with production teams What’s On Offer $85,000 – $90,000 Super Time in lieu for after-hours support Supportive leadership and collaborative culture Training provided Long-term career stability within a growing global business If you believe you have the right skills and experience for this role or know of anyone who does, please do not hesitate to contact Ash Singh on 0488 810 320 or ash@norwestrecruitment.com.au
