Job Overview
The Senior Management Accountant will act as a trusted advisor to management of the eight ARC Metalcentre branches and other key stakeholders, providing commercial leadership and governance, strategic fact‐based commercial insights, and relevant, accurate and timely financial management advice and operational and investment decision support to help the business deliver on its targets.
The role requires a thorough understanding of the current state of the business and a responsibility to deliver reliable annual budgets and periodic forecasts, whilst preparing month journals, P&L review and branch reporting.
Responsibilities
* End‐to‐end ownership of month‐end journals and balance sheet reconciliations for ARC Metalcentre; support month‐end processes for Steel & Tube WA.
* Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for ARC Metalcentre.
* Provide commercial analysis and insight, partnering closely with ARC Metalcentre leadership on performance and planning.
* Support reporting requirements for Group Finance, external auditors, and key internal stakeholders.
* Act as the primary liaison with InfraBuild's offshore Accounts Payable team to resolve AP issues.
* Manage ad‐hoc reporting while driving standardisation, quality improvement, and process efficiency.
* Support risk management, standardise financial procedures, and build strong relationships through active site and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
* Experience in either finance business partnering or management accounting with strong financial evaluation skills.
* Able to work both autonomously and in a team, in a complex, agile environment whilst juggling multiple priorities.
* Strong business acumen complemented by problem solving and analytical skills, and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Degree qualified; CPA or CA will be well regarded.
* SAP (or similar) and MS Office experience (including advanced Excel skills).
