This role is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key customer relationships, lead commercial planning, and drive strategic initiatives that deliver growth.The RoleAs Key Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic accounts across the Independent Grocery & Convenience channels, delivering on sales and margin objectives, and executing brand plans with excellence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless promotional planning, product launches, and customer engagement—while identifying new opportunities to strengthen our footprint in the market. You will primarily be working from home when not travelling for customers meetings in Adelaide or Victoria.Key Responsibilities:Act as the primary contact for designated key accounts and categoriesLead the development and execution of Joint Customer Plans (JCPs) aligned with business and brand objectivesBuild and manage promotional activity calendars, including depth and frequency, to drive sales and distributionOversee customer cycle planning and ensure retail initiatives align with broader commercial strategiesMaximise distribution of product ranges and New Product Development (NPD)Collaborate with Brand and Category teams to deliver compelling, insights-driven customer presentationsProactively identify growth opportunities and initiatives to drive revenue and improve customer satisfactionPrepare and deliver regular customer reviews, performance analysis, and category reviews in line with business timelinesManage and monitor customer financials including Gross Sales Value (GSV), Gross Margin (GM), and trade spend to ensure profitability targets are metForecasting, promotional planning, and new line administration across assigned accountsWhat You Bring:3+ years of experience in FMCG industry, ideally in a key account or customer-facing commercial roleStrong financial and analytical skills with proven ability to manage budgets and trade spendSolid negotiation and relationship management experience in a competitive retail environmentProficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with forecasting and promotional planning tools a plusCustomer-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDriven, motivated and have the ability to work independentlyWhy Join Us?At Stuart Alexander & Co, we’re committed to creating a culture where our team can grow and succeed.
