Your Opportunity
The
Youth Beat
program in Southern Tasmania is a voluntary service dedicated to supporting vulnerable young people, helping them establish strong social networks, address anti-social behaviour, and strengthen connections with family, community, and school. Leveraging a deep understanding of current issues affecting youth, Youth Beat Workers connect and engage with young people, maintaining their motivation and supporting them to make positive changes.
Focusing on Mobile Outreach, this autonomous role involves delivering support, responding to and managing on-going risk factors, and making supported referrals to help young people achieve personal goals and begin to access additional resources independently. Youth Beat Workers require a confident, self-assured approach, particularly in managing risk and engaging youth in meaningful ways. With strong connections to local support services, Youth Beat empowers Tasmania's youth to navigate and overcome complex challenges.
